Permanent Buyer Job, North Lanarkshire, 37.5 hours per week, £24,000 - £28,000 per annum

Hays Procurement are currently working with an exclusive company to partner with them with the recruitment of a Buyer. The organisation is based in North Lanarkshire, however you will be onboarded and working from home until restrictions are eased.
Your new role
Reporting into the Procurement & Planning manager, you will be responsible for the success of the procurement function, carrying out tasks such as; managing performance of suppliers through vendor scoreboards, managing purchasing parameters in SAP, place and maintain purchase orders, execute re-schedule and cancellation messages, manage tender process from project initiation to business award.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident negotiator with a strong understanding of buying processes and an ability to challenge suppliers when necessary.
