TAX & TRUST ACCOUNTANT
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HNW Tax, Trusts and IHT accountant to join a market leading Financial Advisory firm.
My client needs an Accountant that will be able to meet with clients face to face on occasions or as and when required.
The is a new role and is bespoke to this particular company.
My client specialises in financial advice to HNW individuals on all of their money aspects, the advice is given by qualified financial advisor's, however the business now has a demand for an Accountant to assist with all Taxation aspects and also provide specialist Tax service to the client base if needed.
Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join their London Office as a Trust & Tax Senior Manager
The Main Elements:
Pro-actively managing your clients to ensure any tax-planning and/or succession planning issues are considered and acted upon when appropriate
Management of relationships between grant-making and applicant charities, dealing with prospective beneficiaries, drafting deeds and associated policies
Overseeing and contributing towards the timely preparation of trust accounts and tax returns including inheritance tax returns and dealing with HM Revenue and Customs as required
Calculating trustee's liabilities to IHT, CGT and Income Tax and making use of annual exemptions
The Candidate
High degree of knowledge of trust accounting, including specialist areas such as landed estates and charitable organisations (knowledge of SORP would be beneficial)
High degree of knowledge of the taxation of trusts
An understanding of estate, personal, offshore and indirect taxation matters
ACA OR ACCA qualification preferably newly qualified with up to two years' relevant experience
We will also look at QBE candidates
Ideally someone who has worked for IFA practice previously but this is not essential
