Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Courseware Developer to join our Marine Training business at HMS Collingwood. We deliver world-class training both UK and Internationally; with over 800,000 training days delivered so far we equip people to operate and support the most complex marine platforms, logistics and equipment - using our collaborative, customer centric approach.
As a Courseware Developer you'll be supporting the development of E-learning courses and courseware design for the Royal Navy. You'll develop innovative and engaging course content utilising industry-standard software / rapid authoring tools for delivery on multiple platforms; work with subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs; devise modes of assessment to measure effectiveness of training, ensuring conditions and standards are met. You'll also deliver interim training courses in a field of expertise either locally or off-site, ensuring compliance with MoD regulations and procedures including DSAT and JSP 822 health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented, and complied with at all timesWhat do I need to do the role?
You'll hold a Level 3 Certificate (or recognised MOD equivalent) in Education and Training and have consolidated experience of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training) and JSP 822.
We would also like you to have the following:
- Comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles
- Experience creating engaging, effective multi-media training about complex technical topics
- Experience in developing technology-based design solutions (e-learning, multimedia)
- Consolidated experience of professional web authoring software / rapid authoring tools
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures
Lastly, you'll have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), and have the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including MoD staff.What else do I need to know.
The nature of Royal Navy training requires a high degree of flexibility; there may be a requirement for travel between delivery sites within the UK.
The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This will require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.About Babcock International
