Head of Data Science required to join a leading chemistry association advancing chemical sciences. You will be responsible for leading a team of Data Engineers and Data Scientists to support the Digital Transformation approach through developing the data strategy. You will be responsible for delivering data management, business analytics and customer insight. You will also ensure a strong horizontal alignment across the team reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Some of what you will be doing

• Providing effective leadership across the Data Science team
• Collaborating with stakeholders and end-users to ensure priorities are aligned with the business strategy
• Developing and delivering core capabilities; Data Strategy, Data Management, Data Analysis
• Overseeing the development of solutions and breaking down complex issues
• Supporting business teams in Data Engineering, Publishing, Technology, and Digital Transformation

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

• Demonstratable experience in data strategy leadership
• Previous experience working within a complex business environment
• Software development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with .NET and XML language
• Experience in content management systems and data modeling techniques
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and motivate a team

It would be great if you also had:

• Understanding of Cheminformatics
• Understanding of R language
