The business has been operating in the film industry for over 20 years and has some well known credits to its name. It established its reputation in supplying cutting edge camera equipment and operators and is well known for that. It has now started another arm that will produce films, game shows and dramas under its own name and has successfully negotiated the film rights to a successful book series. Producing films is an expensive business - and that arm of the business is pre revenue so the business will need to raise finance to progress.
The financial controller should be a qualified accountant - ideally trained in one of the big four. First time passes and a strong degree will support that the right candidate is bright enough to be successful in this exciting business.
The business is privately owned and has historically outsourced its accounting and payroll to external accountants. Its now time to bring things in house and build a nimble, proactive finance function that adds value.
The role will report to the Managing Director who is also the principal shareholder - so a great opportunity to learn about how the film industry operates or to consolidate your film experience.
Based in Maidenhead, but spending some time at the film studios around London. Home working will also be part of the role. Initially 3 days a week (can spread the hours over more days).
