This role is working for an extremely successful, BRC AA Graded food manufacturer. The business which is dedicated to supplying high quality products and combined with exceptional service, enable their food manufacturing customers to innovate and increase productivity without compromising on quality.
The business is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join their Finance function. The purpose of your role will be to assist the procurement function in providing key support for the business ensuring an efficient supply chain.
* Provide administrative support for the Purchasing Manager
* Carry out raw material usage analysis
* Monitoring & expediting orders
* Carry out inventory checks
* Update the company ERP system (AX Dynamics)
* Communicating regularly with key suppliers
* Aid in the running the MRP system
* Process purchase orders and monitor invoice price levels
To be considered for the Purchasing Assistant job, you will possess previous experience in a purchasing administration role and ideally be educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline.
You will be highly organised, have good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
You will numerate and IT literate including Excel, and preferably have working knowledge of ERP systems. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is also desirable.
The Purchasing Assistant job is based in the North West region and is paying £20,000 - £22,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday (8 am - 4.30 pm) and Fridays (7.30 am - 3 pm).
