Group Tax Accountant

Due to continued high growth an opportunity has arisen to join the Group Finance Team in Newcastle to help continue our success story.

Reporting to the Tax and Treasury Manager, we require a team player, who has an excellent goal-focused attitude and an eye for detail to join this expanding team.

Responsibilities include:

· Computing and submitting accurate indirect tax returns in multiple jurisdictions

· Arranging tax payments to the relevant authorities in an accurate and timely manner

· Assisting with direct tax submissions and queries

· Producing accurate tax reconciliations

· Helping the Group establish legal entities in new jurisdictions

· Keeping the Board and the wider business informed about the Group's tax position

· Assisting in the wider finance function and working closely with other internal teams

· Providing guidance to other members of the Tax and Treasury Team

· Other ad hoc responsibilities within the Tax and Treasury Team



Essential Knowledge and Skills:

· ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience

· Experience of filing tax returns

· Excellent attention to detail and an analytical mind-set

· Experience working within a fast paced finance department

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

· Strong reconciliation experience

· Excellent excel skills

· Passion for process improvement

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

· Experience of working in a tax department

· Experience of Sage X3 or similar systems

· Private equity or fast growth exposure
