Lead Frontend Developer, React, Birmingham, £75k

Opportunity for a hands-on Lead frontend Developer to join a scaling ecommerce business based in Birmingham.

This is a Senior position for them, reporting to the Head of Engineering, with responsibility for putting standards and practices in place within a front-end team and deciding what technologies they should be using.

They are growing rapidly due to a massive increase in sales and now require someone with ideas and knowledge to lead their front-end team and drive their technology forward. The company are ~ 150 now, with 20 in engineering.

Requirements:

• Leadership experience and the ability to make an impact and drive changes
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+)
• React
• Experience working with APIs
• GIT
• Mentoring experience

Nice to have:

• Shopify
• UX/UI
• CLI tools
• Jest

This is an opportunity for someone who is keen to make a difference, who will be supported by the Head of Engineering from day one in a fast growing and moving team!

Interview process is a telephone interview (relaxed), followed by a short at home tech test (React) and then a 30 minute culture fit interview with members of the team to get to know them.

Salary £75k + benefits.

Their office is in Birmingham but they have flexible working / work from home a few days per week (when they go back to the office later this year).
