Job Title: Corporate Legal Counsel
Location: Manchester
Basic Salary: Up to £65k + Car, Bonus
Working Pattern: Currently fully remote. Post Covid plan to do 2-3 days from home flexibly.
Douglas Scott are supporting a UK plc in the search for a Corporate Solicitor to join their existing in-house legal team.
Reporting into the General Counsel, the role will provide the opportunity for a Corporate Solicitor to lead on M&A transactions as part of a dedicated acquisitions team, whilst also contributing to the day to day workload of the legal team. It's a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to get large scale exposure to an excellent mix of in-house legal matters, and development opportunities specific to a UK plc.
The ideal candidate will responsible for leading on all Corporate Transactions across the Group, forming a key part of a project team who identify, plan and deliver on strategic targets to grow the business. You will negotiate key documents, advise business areas on a variety of corporate and project related matters, manage external counsel, and ensure a smooth transition post acquisition. In addition, you would be exposed to a wide range of commercial, corporate governance, and company secretarial matters, providing tailored legal advice to support business strategy.
Applications are invited from UK Qualified Solicitor from 5 years PQE upwards. You will have demonstrable experience of leading on transactions as part of a Corporate Practice with a National / International Firm. The team here is self-sufficient, so you must be comfortable in handling large volumes of work as part of a fast- paced legal team in a listed business. An exposure to Commercial contracts is beneficial.
