In this role, you will be responsible for leading operationally on the development, delivery and continuous improvement of our IT service, based upon an ethos of exceptional customer service, approachability and effective relationship management and in line with the University's IT and Systems strategies. In addition, you will act as a key member of the IT and Systems management team, acting as a role model, where your advice, leadership and management expertise are actively sought by colleagues and you effectively influence decision makers through working in partnership to provide business focussed, fit for purpose solutions and initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant experience of working in an IT management role within a formal ICT service environment. You will have solid experience of managing and developing an effective team and resources in a complex environment coupled with experience of working with and influencing management and colleagues. In addition, you will be customer focussed and have excellent collaboration, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
