Resource for London is the largest centre for the voluntary sector in London. Established as a project of the Trust for London we are a charity tackling poverty and inequality. We are seeking to appoint new trustees to join our board in 2021.
We are looking for suitably qualified or experienced people to join our Board of Trustees focused on the following areas:
- Legal – commercial landlord and tenant law and contract law
- Voluntary sector
Candidates should be passionate about tackling poverty and inequality in London. Resource for London is committed to ensuring that its work at all levels reflects the diversity of London. We are keen to have board members that have lived experience of poverty and disadvantage in addition to the relevant skills.
The new Trustees we are looking for will have experience in legal matters, particularly in relation to commercial landlord and tenant law and contract law. In addition we are looking for new Trustees with a track record and knowledge of the voluntary sector.
We are keen to welcome applications from groups who are currently underrepresented on the Board, in particular:
- People under the age of 40;
- Disabled people; and
- People from Black and Minority Ethnic communities

Even if you have not considered being a trustee before now we still want to hear from you if you have the commitment and skills to help our work. We provide support to anyone joining who is new to this type of role. Resource for London is located on Holloway Road in the London Borough of Islington where meetings are normally held. Trustees are not paid but reasonable out of pocket expenses are met. Trustees are appointed for five years initially, renewable for a further five year term of office.
