Technical Writer (Electronics) - Egham - £28k - £32k

The role of the Technical Writer will direct a writing programme of communications in all formats including print, web, social media and other platforms as required.

Typical duties would include articles on the many electronics' technology advances across all of the vertical markets and product types supported by the engineering teams, Centre of Excellence Development Board Product Briefs, Webinar invitations, Social media posts on relevant and interesting news, all with the aim to increase the awareness of the business in the EMEA market space.

The individual will engage with the leadership team, heads of departments, Regional Sales Directors and other EMEA senior managers to identify and exploit electronics' news opportunities for the Company and assist with the production of technical communications.

As the company continues to grow and expand, technical communications incl. blogs and social media posts will play a vital role in managing this change and delivering the key messages.

Candidates will be educated to degree level in a relevant electronics technical field with ideally two to four years' industry experience as an effective electronics technical writer.

They should be able to demonstrate proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics, writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.

Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content and knowledge of available writing tools i.e. incl but not limited to: Word Press, Adobe Robohelp, Notepad ++, Adobe Frame Maker, MS Word, MS Visio.
