£18,000 - £23,000 per annum dependant on experience
Solihull, West Midlands

We are a niche firm specialising in the defence of serious crime and family law. We are frequently instructed to represent and defend in extremely serious cases, involving some of the most notorious crimes prosecuted in recent times and quite often cases attracting national notoriety.

The Position

We are fortunate to benefit from a solid team of talent comprising some of the finest Solicitors and Barristers who are eminent within their profession. We are continually expanding and are now seeking to develop that team further by the addition of 3 legal secretaries to assist and support our business.

The successful candidate shall be expected to manage a heavy workload and be proactive. Your duties will be to provide key support to the solicitors which will include, but not be limited to:

- Audio copy typing/digital audio typing
- Preparing, formatting and amending documents
- Diary management
- Collating court bundles
- Liaising with key clients and attending meetings
- Key administrative duties


In order to be considered for this legal secretary position in Solihull, you must have at least three years' experience working as a legal secretary, excellent audio typing skills with a typing speed of at least 80 WPM, and the confidence to liaise with clients on a daily basis. You must also have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, and live within a 30 minute drive of Solihull. Furthermore, the suitable applicant must be able to work independently, use their own common sense / initiative to find solutions to and resolve problems by being proactive.

The successful candidate must be a robust individual with a strong work ethic, the ability to work under pressure adhering to strict deadlines and possess excellent time management and organisational skills.
