Excellent career-development opportunity for a Compliance professional to assume the day-to-day responsibility for the maintenance and continual improvement of our business continuity management system (BCMS). You'll be joining a €1.59bn leading authority in the Digital Transformation & Managed IT space.

£31,000 – £35,000 per annum
Plus Benefits Package

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Part-time hours will be considered for exceptional candidates

The Compliance Officer Role:

Working with various departments enterprise-wide, you will develop and maintain our ISO22301-certified business continuity management system (BCMS), promoting best practise and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

This is an interesting role which will require a flexible approach and requires someone who is passionate about promoting a collaborative and solutions driven compliance culture across our organisation. We’re looking for someone who wants to champion positive change and has a methodical and consistent approach to their work; the successful candidate will work directly as part of a small but welcoming team and will be supported through training and development to achieve the key responsibilities of the role.

Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities:

+ Assuming day-to-day responsibility for the maintenance and continual improvement of our BCMS.
+ Working collaboratively to maintain engagement and input from all stakeholders across the organisation.
+ Ensuring the completion of our business continuity workplan, including facilitating training and exercising programs in coordination with interested parties.
+ Leading our internal and external BCMS audit program.
+ Proactively identify and escalate issues or risks.
+ Be the main point of contact for both internal and external enquiries in relation to our BCMS.
+ Provide support to the wider compliance team where required, as directed by the Compliance Team Leader.

Compliance Officer Skills & Experience:


+ Previous experience of working within a compliance role, preferably in relation to business continuity
+ Strong project planning and project management skills
+ Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel across the organisation
+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills
+ Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
+ Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Highly Desirable:

+ Experience of working with business continuity planning/frameworks
+ Industry-recognised certifications in business continuity
+ Industry-recognised certifications in risk management
+ Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking and security technologies
+ Knowledge of other compliance standards inc. ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO20000 and ISO14001
