LARC Fitter needed in Sheffield. Earn £38.50 - £62 per hour, including holiday pay.
A new service is to be rolled out for Sheffield, improving access to Long-Acting Reversible Contraception. Offering weekday and Saturday appointments the aim is to improve access, increase up-take and reduce reliance on contraceptive medications.
Due to recent studies showing clear evidence of the superiority of LARC over SARC (such as the pill), both in effectiveness of preventing unintended/unwanted pregnancy and for patient satisfaction. This service will be key in improving sexual health services in the region and, with LARC also presenting clear cost savings for the NHS, it will also have knock on impact on UK wide NHS services.
This is a pioneering project, and we are looking for clinicians passionate about improving access to LARC, to help us realise these aims! You would be a key player and would gain some excellent CPD evidence for your portfolio.
To be able to run this service, we need clinicians experienced in LARC fitting, who can offer some weekday/weekend sessions across 2021. No minimum number of hours - so you can pick up sessions just as and when you have the time to, with no obligation, though continuity of cover is preferred where feasible!
You'd earn £38.50 - £63 per hour, including holiday pay!
You would be based in one of several sites across Sheffield- depending on your preference! The service will be running out of Primary Care Centres as a joined-up service across Sheffield.
If you are interested in this opportunity, and enabling this service to run, please apply now!
