Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Information Governance Manager for an initial 4-month contract on a rate of £150-£175/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.
·Working with the Information Governance & Security Lead / Data Protection Officer in driving compliance with Information Governance legislation, standards and policies across the organisation.
·Provision of professional, appropriate and effective Information Governance Practitioner support to the organisation's Directorates re Data Protection and GDPR (includes supporting the completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments, Data Sharing Agreements and Data Processing Agreements)
·Provision of expert support in the day-to-day operational requirements of Information Governance across all Directorates.
·To support the organisation's Directorates projects, ensuring that the appropriate information governance legislative requirements are considered, and associated risks are adequately mitigated.
·Master's degree or equivalent experience.
·Postgraduate qualification, or equivalent, and demonstrable experience in relevant discipline
·Evidence of experience in the application of Data Protection legislation.
·Significant experience of information governance (in particular Data Protection) within a complex environment.
·Experience / understanding of the external political and social environment.
·Experience of managing complex projects/workstreams.
·Communication / Presentation experience.
·Demonstrable leadership skills, and ability to work own initiative, to be able to organise and priorities workload and to meet strict deadlines.
·Significant experience of appropriate risk assessment and treatment methodologies.
·Experience of information governance/data protection compliance in a cloud computing environment.
·Proven experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of business/management processes and systems.
·Senior-practitioner level knowledge and understanding of information governance disciplines, and in particular data protection legislation.
·Ability to develop creative solutions.
·Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
·Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
·Excellent team player.
·Excellent problem-solving skills.
·Effective time management skills, including prioritisation of conflicting tasks.
·Working knowledge of public authorities
