Job Details

We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN teaching assistant to work full time in a brand new and exciting provision in North London. Some special schools are not able to take all their children in during the Covid outbreak because of the needs of social distancing. This unique provision is to run from the end of February through to the July summer holidays, giving some of those children and young people, most of whom are on the autistic spectrum, a chance to attend part time school and make up for lost learning and social opportunities.

There will be two groups of no more than five young people, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You will be supporting young people in their learning, which will be focused on an area of interest to them; at the same time you'll be helping them to become more confident and less anxious, in preparation for their return to school in September. The groups will be led by a specialist teacher and supported by two teaching assistants, who will maintain a focus on wellbeing and social interaction.
