Volunteer Link Up exists to promote volunteering in West Oxfordshire and seeks a manager (25 hours a week) with experience of smaller charities
The Manager's overall responsibility is for:
contributing to the strategic direction and development of the organisation
ensuring that Volunteer Link Up's work and the management of the organisation and its staff is carried out effectively and efficiently in line with best practice
To be responsible for ensuring that the charitable objectives in the governing document of Volunteer Link Up are carried out. To liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations, exchanging information and advice and exploring opportunities to work in partnership. To line manage the three part-time members of the VLU staff team. To seek out and apply for grants and make other financial bids including contract negotiations with statutory sector bodies. To prepare the Annual Business Plan and to prepare and monitor budgets.
Person will ideally have experience of business planning and preparation of funding applications. Essential to have experience of working in a smaller not for profit organisation, to show excellent communication skills, be IT literate and have knowledge of financial systems and budgeting.
The salary quoted is FTE. For 25 hours per week it is £24,000 to £26,000 pa
