MINISTRY TRAINEE ROLE - STARTING SEPTEBER 2021
Are you exploring whether God is calling you to serve in youth, children's or worship ministry? Come and join our ministry trainee programme and work on team for a year in our large, varied, growing and welcoming church with all costs paid.
Who are we?
Christ Church is an evangelical Anglican church located in beautiful Hertfordshire, a stone's throw from the M25 and a short walk from Chorleywood Underground station with regular trains taking you into Central London in 40 minutes. We are a lively, forward looking church committed to sound Bible teaching, and to equipping people to serve God every day of the week, not just on Sunday.
What we offer our Ministry Trainees?
In the Christ Church Ministry Trainee Programme we want to 'train young adults to love God and people long-term in ministry'. We do this by providing an environment where young adults are trained and supported by experienced leaders, whilst also giving them the responsibility and opportunity to exercise leadership themselves in a dynamic environment. We pay a living allowance, which includes a mobile phone allowance, of approximately £800 a month (£9,400.00 a year) and cover all training costs, including day release to study externally. Costs for shared accommodation are between £250 and £500 a month.
There are 3 areas of specialism with broader experience across all areas of ministry -
Ministry Trainees from Christ Church typically go on to full-time ministry leadership positions in their chosen specialty or further training. We warmly encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply to join the scheme.
As a ministry trainee at Christ Church your primary role will be to support the work of the Children, Youth, and Worship Ministers. You will be involved in various aspects of the church from Sunday through to our midweek youth and children's programmes. You will have the opportunity to take the lead in preparing and delivering sessions for young people and children, as well as leading worship in various contexts. In addition to your work responsibilities, you will be given time to study and grow in Christian leadership and mentoring and study time is included.
