Stress Engineer - Hypermesh/HyperView

We are looking for a Stress Engineer to join a leading Aerospace business that pioneer in the Electric Flight sector.
It's a remote working role and hardware & software will be provided.
Your Day to Day:
Sizing and stress analysis of the CFRP Fuselage Structure and interfaces to i.e. the landing gears or the wings by means of hand calculations, numerical simulations (FEM) and optimization techniques
Hold responsibility for numerical modelling, conduction of simulations, post-processing and reporting of the results
Work closely with Engineers from Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Testing throughout the entire product development process to develop a CFRP Wing Structure with exceptional performance
5+ years of experience in Structural analysis, with application to aircraft structures, in particular to Fuselage Primary & Secondary Structure
Excellent knowledge of stress & damage tolerance analysis methods following established standards for CFRP structures
Experience in the preliminary design phase is essential
In-depth understanding of the loading scenarios and mechanical behaviour of aircraft structures
Extensive working experience with the commercial implicit FE code OptiStruct, and corresponding pre- and post-processing tools (HyperMesh and HyperView) is essential If you are interested in the role available, please apply via the advert.
