Job Details

An international wholesale bank based in the West End of London.

  • Responsible for daily supervision / delivery of all Import as well as export LC/ Bills related transactions, asset products (fund based non fund based), guarantees, SBLCs etc.
  • Responsible for timely reporting of Regulatory Reports (if any)pertaining to the product(s).
  • Assist Team/Unit Lead in consistent delivery of high quality services to customers through meeting or exceeding customer expectation guided by the Service Level Agreement, efficiency/accuracy standards and good business processes/judgements.
  • Assist in managing the cost budget by ensuring optimum utilisation of available resources, implementation of creative cost-reduction solutions and minimising wastage.
  • Assist in Managing the Operational risk to avoid operational/reputational losses and ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines,procedures, practices and code of conduct.
  • Ensure achievement of productivity targets (efficiency, accuracy, etc.)and processing turnaround standards.
  • Contribute to the development of associates by guiding, coaching,motivating supporting and assisting selected number of associates.
  • Ensure due care and diligence is exercised on day to day operational matters relating to Money Laundering and KYC, acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus, providing support to superiors and subordinates.
  • To promote the culture and practice of compliance within the letter and spirit of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in the conduct of business.
  • To have good judgement and an inquisitive approach to practices and procedures on AML.
  • To have personal authority and integrity,independence and resilience while handling such transactions.
  • To accept service of process and any notices required to be served on the bank and to sign on behalf of the Bank all documents that may be necessary to be submitted to the Registrar of the Companies or any other regulatory authority and generally to represent the Bank for all the purposes of the law.
  • To sign on behalf of the bank any periodical or other returns that may be required to be filed or registered under the law.
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the line manager.

  • Understanding of banking instruments, procedures and dealing practices.
  • An understanding of Banking and Trade Finance procedures and policies.
  • In depth knowledge of commercial banking and ancillary products.
  • Experience in Trade Finance Department.
  • Knowledge of core banking, products and operations with good knowledge of Trade Finance Products.
  • Well-developed communication & analytical skills, ability to handle high priority issues on product delivery and strong interpersonal skills.
