Purpose of the role:

WEA has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to oversee successful delivery of the Building Better Opportunities Work.Live.Leicestershire contract funded through the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund. The role will be home based with travel and support across Leicestershire.
The WEA is an educational charity delivering responsive, relevant and accessible programmes of learning across England and Scotland. Through our vision of employability, health and wellbeing, community engagement and cultural studies, we raise the educational aspirations of local communities.
We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to lead an ambitious team to deliver and meet the requirements within the contract led by Vista, the lead organisation.

Key areas of responsibility:

The successful candidate will need to have experience of leading strategic development and developing new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a core delivery team; and ensuring that delivery partners are clear on responsibilities and that strategic partners and the wider community is actively engaged. You will be responsible for ensuring completion of all the evidence requirements, collation of data, quality assurance, and evidence of outcomes to support final evaluation. It is anticipated that the post holder will work closely with a range of stakeholders which are likely to include; Local Authority staff, community organisations, service providers (e.g. GPs, DWP, JCP) employers, WEA volunteers and staff. She/he will be expected to represent the WEA and promote both the Association and the value of adult education in relevant contexts.
