A growing medium sized independent accountancy practice with brand new modern offices in the heart of Manchester are seeking an audit and accounts semi senior to join their dynamic team. The firm offer a wide range of accounting services including accounting, cloud accounting, audit, tax and many more. The firm work with a wide range of clients with turnovers ranging from up to £200million.
Your new role
As an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior you will predominately work on audit assignments as part of a wider team, most of your audit work will be office based. For audit you will be responsible for planning and completing audit/accounts working files, conducting audit work in accordance with the agreed procedures, professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals, identify opportunities to sell more services and supervise/develop junior members of staff. For the accounts, you will be responsible for preparing year-end accounts through to review for a broad range of clients with turnovers into the millions. This role will be around 50% audit and 50% accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking for a keen individual that firstly possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will ideally be studying towards ACCA or AAT qualification. You will need to have an accurate and methodical approach to work and previous experience working in an accountancy practice undertaking both audit and accounts assignments. You will need to have a strong eye for detail, be able to take on ownership/responsibility and consider problems as a challenge.
