Our client is a pioneer at the cutting edge of innovation, breaking new ground in its field of life sciences.

Working closely alongside Head of Legal you will enjoy a varied workload. It will be important to this role that you have previous experience of working with clinical trials and the relevant Associations with an understanding of working in a grant supported research & development environment. You will have a broad knowledge of commercial contract law, specifically:
  • R&D Collaboration, Clinical Trial, Consultancy, Licence, Service, Data Sharing and Clinical Investigator Agreements and any associated IP issues.
  • Advise the business on any associated risk and compliance.
  • Review and advise on associated agreements such as supplier, outsourcing and procurement.
  • Deliver training to the wider business.
  • Provide support to the business with respect to set up of legal entities and other corporate matters.
  • Provide support to the business with respect to review and update of policies and procedures.
  • Work with external legal counsel as required.

You will:
  • Be a qualified Lawyer in England & Wales (or other commonwealth law jurisdiction to include UK life sciences experience). Ideally post admitted experience of around 3-5 years and have the relevant rights to work and live in London and not require sponsorship.
  • Be experienced working in the life sciences sector or with life sciences clients and have worked in private practice or in-house or a combination of both.
  • Have worked previously on commercial matters associated with corporate structures, IP, clinical trials, technology & innovation, research & development, process development, manufacturing, regulatory, market access, economics and property leases.
  • Interact and support with negotiations across the different business units.
  • Work with external legal counsel as required.
  • Be adaptable and flexible and enjoy the challenges from that which comes with working in an innovative and fast paced and growing environment.
  • Be organised and know how to prioritise and manage your time efficiently.
  • Be a communicator who is confident to engage and speak to people at all levels and able to build a professional rapport quickly.
