We are looking for an experienced and talented Innovation Manager to join our passionate, award-winning Income Generation directorate at Cats Protection and help us create a diverse fundraising portfolio.
Cats Protection is the UK's leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2019 we helped around 191,000 cats and kittens, an average of 520 per day.
The Digital and Innovation team sits within the Income Generation directorate of the charity. The digital team was created in 2018 and has gone from strength to strength, the team of 9 lead on digital innovation, managing all digital channels and driving all income streams (retail and trading, individual giving, community and events, legacy and high value giving) to deliver excellent digital fundraising, achieving sector leading results. We are embarking on an exciting new strategy and are looking for an Innovation Manager to embed a new innovation function within Cats Protection. This new innovation team will have the remit of leading innovation across all channels and income streams, and there are ambitious plans to grow a team within the next year.
This post will sit across the directorate and work with all income streams enabling them to achieve ambitious growth targets; managing innovation and new product development. This post will oversee regular innovation cycles using an insight led innovation approach to develop new products and optimise existing activity.
The successful candidate will have strong influencing, relationship building and communication skills, as aligning multiple teams, keeping colleagues up to date and ensuring learnings are shared across the directorate will be key to this role. They will have an innovative mind set and ability to generate and see through ideas, with knowledge of a range of innovation techniques.
Proven ability to drive change and establish new ways of thinking and doing is critical, as this role will take the lead on developing an innovation culture and supporting all Income Generation teams to incorporate new processes and techniques into their work.
