Residential Manager/Head Campus Warden

Status: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: Average 37 Hours per week plus one evening shift per week. You are also required to cover one in every three weeks as the duty manager. The postholder will be required to live permanently on site.

Salary: Incremental Scale £23,412 (A28) to £25,773 (A31) per annum with on-site accommodation (3 bed house), rent and utility bills paid. Generous LGPS pension and subsidised access to campus facilities such as on-site gym, zoo, events.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will lead the Residential Services team, ensuring that we deliver an exceptional experience to nearly 1000 residential students. You will co-ordinate all aspects of the residential provision ensuring the outstanding delivery of safeguarding, supervision and welfare of our residential students. Deputising for the Head of Student Services as required.

You will find no two shifts are the same as you create an environment where students take responsibility for their behaviour and ensure that they have the variety of support necessary for them to fulfil their potential. A responsible figure, you will develop a good rapport with students and ensure that security and safeguarding is maintained on campus at all times whilst demonstrating a positive, energetic and flexible approach to work.

You should be a calm and effective communicator with a sound understanding of issues affecting young people that can impact on their future. You should be good at building effective working relationships at all levels within the College.
