A large accountancy firm with a strong network are seeking to appoint a Senior Tax Manager/Director with technical expertise in private tax planning to help lead their tax offering across the north east of England.
With flexibility upon your base, albeit local to the area you will bring with you a bias if not exclusive expertise in all aspects of private client tax planning namely Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Trusts. Given you will be working with Owner Managed clients, experience in business tax would be very useful and widely used, but not essential as the firm already have expertise in this area, leaving your personal tax skills to compliment.
The focus of this role will be on the delivery of tax advisory projects for a range of clients, including owner managed businesses and their shareholder's private affairs. The wide breadth of work will open up the door for you to further expand your knowledge in areas that you have perhaps not come across before, and support will be available from your peers.
For those that enjoy some autonomy this role offers you the chance to shape your position and develop your business area further whilst working towards progression and development for both yourself and the tax team. Your input into strategic growth plans will be encouraged and we would look to you as a leader in new business development activity.
The firm is keen to identify a future leader, a driven individual keen to work in a team environment for the success of all. They are looking for a qualified tax professional (CTA/ACA/ACCA) who can collaborate with peers but also has their own opinions. Private client tax experience is essential as well as supervisory experience to enable you to mentor the team. This position would suit an ambitious Senior Manager looking to take that next step in their career or an existing Associate Director that is looking to join a modern accountancy firm. This is a real growth opportunity and an exciting time to join the firm.
