The Role

As a data analyst at Slurp, we'll look to you to develop complex business insights and reports that will be used to provide insight into business performance. You'll work closely with our buying, marketing and supply teams to really understand their data and processes, so you can then build reports and dashboards that provide highly commercial and measurable insights. It's a big job. But it's one in which you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in our journey to improve the quality of insight and analytical capability.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day to day maintenance, accuracy and running of reports used by the wider business
  • Supporting daily sales and performance reporting
  • Providing the foundation of reporting across the business, to be analysed in different lenses, including the customer, product, category, warehouse and supply - just to name a few
  • Developing and report strategic KPIs for the business, to ensure that the business has aligned focus and reporting to achieve its strategic objectives
  • Ad-hoc projects to understand and support longer term strategic questions for the business
  • Helping to maintaining data tables and data feeds alongside the digital lead to ensure that reports are accurate and business leads are getting the data in meaningful way
  • Input to the regular reporting including reporting to key stakeholders and the Board
  • Drawing out the potential implications of pieces of analysis and provide valuable summaries to management
  • Responsible for the various financial models across the business including product margin, sales forecasting and growth
  • Input into the budget and forecasting process and reporting, understanding key drivers and variances


Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management and organisational skills, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of ETL processes to build reporting pipelines
  • Building scalable reporting
  • Understanding of data modelling concept
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects
  • Microsoft SQL, Google Analytics, Excel, Data, visualisation tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Big Data, Economics, Engineering, or other quantitative field.
  • Proven experience of analysing data and then being able to make recommendations and commercial decisions based on your findings.
  • Expertise in management of complex structures of data and strong inclination to data analysis combined with the same attention and focus to the business impacts
