We have an job opening for ServiceNow Developer with our client and the details are as below:

Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 Months Extendable

Work Location: Knutsford, Cheshire, UK


Job Purpose and primary objectives:

The ServiceNow Senior Developer is responsible to design and implementation of ServiceNow's solutions. This role will work with the IT Service Management leadership, IT service owners, process owners and various service delivery groups to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of the bank

Key responsibilities:

  • Build technical solutions based on client's needs and process requirements
  • Deliver solutions using Agile software development processes
  • Understand the current "as is processes" and deliver toolset changes based on upcoming process changes
  • Customisation or development of enhancement requests for existing ITSM/ITOM tools and processes
  • Take care of end-to-end development activities for a specific enhancement or project as an individual contributor
  • Work closely with BA's, Architects, Testing team and process teams
  • Identify areas of process and tooling improvement and provide solutions to ensure tool is protected in process, security and performance aspects
  • Ensure gaps are clearly identified and reported to BA/stake holders
  • Work closely with vendor resources to meet development deadlines in case of larger projects
  • Take respective ownership as an individual contributor throughout the project lifecycle

Key Skills/Knowledge:

  • Business Knowledge:
  • Has good general knowledge with some detailed knowledge of products/functions outside of day-to-day area supported:
  • Can engage with stakeholders of relevant business areas
  • Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the systems processing for the business area & relationships

Exposure to the follow key modules in ServiceNow is required:

  • Incident/Problem/Change
  • CMDB
  • Discovery
  • Orchestration (Preferable, not essential)
  • Knowledge
  • Service (Request) Catalog

Working experience in following Technical concepts of ServiceNow is MUST

  • ServiceNow web services and APIs
  • Expert in JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, SSO
  • Working experience in Service Now Discovery
  • Workflow Configuration
  • Working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases
  • Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.)
  • Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE backend technologies
  • Knowledge of UI & UX concepts
  • ServiceNow Orchestration
