The Mental Wellbeing Practitioners will form part of a new team with responsibility for developing our existing programmes and creating new initiatives that aim to improve the mental wellbeing of our participants, our staff, Fulham FC fans and the wider Fulham family.
With the passionate pursuit of building better lives through sport, we bring Fulham FC to the community. Since 2002, the Foundation has built a community of supporters and a dedicated team with years of experience delivering sustainable impact. We tackle some of the biggest challenges facing our community today such as social isolation and health inequalities. The Foundation works with over 12,000 young people and adults across South West London every year.
The Mental Wellbeing Practitioners will be responsible for developing evidence-based interventions that support the mental wellbeing of our existing participants, with a specific focus on supporting our young participants aged 11 to 19, our disabled participants and our adult participants who may be at risk of social isolation. You will also assess and deliver programmes aimed at supporting young people and adults in the community who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
You will work with local partners, including NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups and Mental Health charities to develop an understanding of the local offer and how we can work in partnership to support the mental wellbeing of the community. Through your work we will signpost those who need additional support to appropriate services and we will receive incoming referrals from health partners to support those who would benefit from community support.
Successful applicants will have excellent interpersonal skills and have experience of working with people who have ill mental health. We are also looking for someone who has enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to work flexibly and autonomously within a team.
