Java Software Engineer

This is a remote role with an eventual need to work from the office once the COVID situation ends.Requirements Legally allowed to work in Manchester, UK and post-Brexit (1st January, 2021). Able to work in Manchester office Minimum 2 years Java development in high performance data oriented environments Java development experience in Java 8+ (streaming, functional interfaces) Java concurrency, lock-free algorithms, distributed systems development Hands-on with NoSQL database operations from Java Server side API development using RESTful JSON web services Experience using multiple repository git workflows Recent experience in an Agile Scrum based development organization using JIRA or equivalent Comfortable in a CI/CD based workflow BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Track record of delivering value without constant supervision

Preferred Experience Hands-on Kafka/Zookeeper or other modern messaging systems AWS experience with S3 Experience with the OpenAPI specification Plus experience with Big Data, large scale analytics
