With nearing £200m of debt and equity funds under management, the Group is continuing to grow and prides itself on taking a holistic approach to the funding needs of their clients.

Location: Flexible, within the East of England

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Head of Funds to join and lead an established team of 5, in the deployment of debt facilities and grants.

You will be responsible for:

· Leading the strategy, development, delivery, and performance of Funds based in the East of England

· Lead preparation of fund reporting for stakeholders, in conjunction with central resources

· Manage and support team to deliver the required lending/investment/due diligence targets in accordance with contractual agreements/KPI's with stakeholders

· Be first point of contact for team members regarding fund/grant queries

· Ensuring all fund activity, pipeline and other information is promptly and accurately recorded on CRM system

· Undertake personnel reviews, including setting objectives, year-end assessment and interim reviews of the team

· Personally develop and maintain a portfolio of clients

· Originate and carry out evaluation/detailed due diligence on suitable proposals in line with funds policy and operational guidelines

· Present proposals to credit/investment committee

· Manage completion matters post approval including co-ordination of facility and security documentation (and managing tranche drawdowns where appropriate) working with the central resources teams

· Pro-actively manage borrower relationships and early identification of default situations working with internal and external advisers as necessary to maximise recoveries

· Lead market presence in the region marketing to funders, intermediaries and SMEs across the region with a view to maximising deployment

· Build and maintain a pipeline of suitable lending opportunities by developing relationships with banks, accountants and other advisers and introducers, including partner organisations

· Inform potential introducers and wider business community through presentations/attendance at suitable events

· Lead and contribute to regular production of marketing collateral including case-studies and use of social media.

Desired skills and experience:

· Ideally, clear evidence of strong team management, leadership and organisational skills

· Strong experience of non-asset backed lending (unsecured project led cash flow lending) and associated relationship management activity

· Thorough understanding of SME funding market

· Demonstrable ability to assess and structure complex loan propositions (including management of intercreditor and other negotiations), where primary repayment source is future cashflow generation

· Comfortable in reporting to institutional stakeholders negotiating at director level with borrowers and operating a range of environments in order to build a broad relationship

· Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills

· IT Proficiency - Office 365 applications including MS Teams. Forecast modelling ability with Excel would be an advantage
