Dye & Durham is a legal technology company that is publicly listed on the TSX. The Company is rapidly growing primarily through global acquisitions. The Company offers a comprehensive cloud-based technology platform that seeks to be a complete all-in-one solution for access to public records data and the automation of routine legal document creation.

Employing over 800 people across Canada, UK, and Australia, Dye & Durham uses technology to distinguish itself from competitors and provides a compelling value proposition to its large blue-chip customer base of over 25,000 active law firms, government agencies, and financial institutions.

Why this role is important to us.

Our UK Technology team is charged with building and operating the digital platforms Dye & Durham UK provides to legal professionals and businesses across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

  • Perform manual testing of the functionality, security, and performance of our platforms, and drive the automation of these QA activities
  • Produce and maintain technical and design documentation
  • Contribute to the continuing development of our methods, approaches, tooling, and technology
  • Perform after-hours support, releases, incident resolution, and emergency changes as required.
  • Visit our offices as and when required to engage with colleagues and business functions.

As a part of our maintenance team:
  • Monitor maintenance and support queues
  • Address customer queries, undertake bug fixes, perform maintenance tasks, develop reports, and perform minor feature enhancements.
  • Build automation to improve the speed and accuracy of our maintenance service.
  • Perform after-hours support, releases, incident resolution, and emergency changes as required.
  • Visit our offices as and when required to engage with colleagues and business functions.

What does good look like?
  • Have a good technical understanding of our platforms and how they work, as well as the activities they perform in company formations, company secretarial services, conveyancing, and legal services
  • Have the ability to support end-users and customers of our platforms
  • Be able to identify, investigate, and resolve issues with the operation of those platforms
  • Deliver features that make a difference to how our platforms perform, and how our users interact with them in the performance of their roles
  • Develop my skills and experience in the delivery of B2B SaaS platforms, and the engineering of software solutions as a part of that
  • Build strong relationships with people at all levels of the organisation, and help make a difference to our company and our customers.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the organisational, our customers, the products we deliver, and how we deliver those
  • Have the ability to self-manage and be organised in my work, whilst collaborating across different product and maintenance teams

The key people I work with.

I work with my product team, or with my maintenance team, as well as other technical teams, to deliver and maintain compelling solutions for our customers.

I work with our Product & Commercial team to understand our product vision, roadmap, and to deliver solutions that bring these to life, and to achieve our commercial and operational goals.

I work with our Operational and back-office teams to understand their role in delivering our products, to understand their processes and challenges, such that I can deliver innovative ways to improve how we deliver value.
