Currie & Brown is currently looking for an experienced MEPH commissioning manager to be based at a science campus at Weybridge, Surrey.
The successful candidate will be the technical authority for managing the commissioning viability, performance, resilience and reliability of the MEPH systems in a range of new and refurbished buildings, and will be responsible for ensuring that they are compliant with design requirements.Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
§ Reviewing submitted design documents, systems commission provision
§ Commissioning tech subs for technical content and contract compliance
§ Organising workshops with trade contractors and the client to expedite sign-off
§ Producing commissioning plans and programmes
§ Producing a test and commissioning tracker document
§ Producing a schedule of commissioning RAMS (risk assessments/method statements)
§ Reviewing, commenting on and approving contractors' commissioning RAMS
§ Organising and attending all equipment factory acceptance testing (FAT) and producing reports
§ Monitoring the equipment tagging process
§ Checking the ongoing installation for commissioning readiness
§ Interfacing with the package managers on installation matters impacting the commissioning process
§ Producing a weekly progress report which will include a drop line of progress against the commissioning programme, dashboard report from test and commission tracker schedule, four-week look-ahead schedule and a schedule of key issues/observations
§ Assisting the contractors in the preparation of commissioning documents
§ Following up, managing and closing out any commissioning issues
§ Managing with the trade contractors all issues raised and noted on the clients' issues resolution
§ Reviewing all test documentation for inclusion within the record documentation
§ Providing assistance to, and interfacing with, the technical author in respect of the O&M Requirements:
- A minimum of ten years' industry experience
- Fully conversant with BSRIA and CIBSE commissioning guidelines
- Proven management and mentoring of people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
§ Experience of preparing, documenting and overseeing integrated building tests and black building tests
- Experience of commissioning high containment laboratory facilities (CL2 and CL3)
§ Experience with CL4 facilities desirable
- Experience with the commissioning of laboratory gases an advantage
- Ability to review design drawings, specifications and technical submittals in order to produce a reviews
