Job Details

Working in a reporting services environment, you'll support the development, implementation and maintenance of Stericycle systems. You will produce reports in SQL and develop and use tools to manage information held on our in-house systems. Importantly you'll extend and work on ETL, T-SQL triggers and stored procedures.

What you'll do:

  • Produce reports and data extracts using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, Business Objects and MS Excel.
  • Participate in the maintenance of all Database Systems.
  • Support and develop SRCL systems in line with business requirements.
  • Participate in all Business Intelligence activities related to data warehouse development methodology.
  • Direct the system development process, including planning and monitoring systems development efforts, coordinating activities with other groups, reviewing deliverables.
  • Use desktop and web-based tools to solve reporting and analysis problems.
  • As a team member, work alongside existing staff to improve reporting and business intelligence.
  • Work directly with individuals from all different levels of the organisation to determine requirements, analyse existing processes and generate creative and accurate solutions.
  • Provide documentation to the user community to support established service level agreements and system usage.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings to review outstanding issues, support trends, and upcoming projects.
  • Recognise trends in user requests that may become opportunities to improving process through automation.


What you already know;

  • Working knowledge of SQL to develop queries to solve data related discrepancies.
  • Create data extracts upon user request.
  • Create and maintain stored procedures, UDFs & triggers as appropriate.
  • Use MS Excel & Access as tools to analyse and manipulate data sets.
  • Use of SSRS/Power BI/Tableau to build customer facing reports.
  • Use of SSIS for task automation.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Studio (and higher)
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 BI Stack/Data Tools (and higher)
  • Ability to rationalise data and report findings in a clear, succinct manner
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Access.
  • Working knowledge of source Control/Microsoft Team Foundation Server (desirable)
  • Microsoft Power BI (Desirable)
  • Tableau (Desirable)
  • SAP Business Objects (Desirable)
  • Data Warehousing conceptualisation (desirable)
