We are working with one of the largest B2C online fashion retailers in the UK who are looking for a Technical Insight Analyst to join its team. You would be working within the Marketing and Promotions team but also face off to the Trading and Finance teams.

Initially, you need to understand the metrics and insights all these teams use and set up automated reports for them to use. You will be providing analysis on marketing spend and its impact/ROI and be asked to draw links between sales/trading data.

Once the reports are automated you will then move into a wider remit, looking at the general analysis of marketing and in particular promotions data to pull-out long-term trends and actionable insight.

From a technical perspective, you will be using SQL to interrogate the data. This must be your number one tool, although others like Python and R will be useful, a solid command of SQL is key. Power BI is used for data visualisation within the company so the use of this is a nice-to-have but if you have used other tooling i.e. Tableau, Qlik, Looker etc. these will also be of interest but none are essential.

A background in digital marketing is needed. Use of Adobe or Google Analytics will also be looked at favourably, but they are not a big part of this position. It is the raw data that flows into these tools that will be needed for analysis.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their ability. You will be working with several teams and stakeholders and you must stand by your insights and use the data to back up your work.
