A prestigious name within the publication & academic industries are partnering with the Network Professional team to find a Financial Reporting Accountant on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. The company in question have emerged through the current pandemic relatively unscathed, and have transitioned a lot of current and new roles, such as this one, to working completely remotely. For this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong financial and technical background that will suffice to meet the demands of operating within a dynamic environment in unprecedented circumstances. This role is open to individuals of various levels of qualification within accountancy, whether it is late or part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA candidates, or individuals who are qualified by experience. Experience of working within a commercial environment is essential, and ideally the candidate should have more than two years' experience with Financial or Management Accounting. Experience of working with outsourced finance functions, or experience working on finance projects, alongside experience of documenting processes is essential for this position.

This opportunity enables the individuals to work fully remotely, meaning that direct access to the location of the office is not essential; however the need to visit the office personally may arise at some point, although this is not anticipated. On offer is a base salary of £37k (£18.5k pro-rata), and a great opportunity for a talented individual to add to their repertoire of skills by incorporating the ability to work remotely and relatively autonomously. Your Role & Responsibilities
Typical duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data, including required GAAP adjustments, Transfer Pricing accounting with Tax teams and other accounting support where necessary
- Reviewing and reporting on trial balance quarterly and annual variance analysis to ensure appropriate understanding of activity and identification of potential risks and opportunities
- Supporting the Senior Accountant with the completion of financial analysis and close processes on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis
- Ensuring Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on a timely basis
- Supporting and participating in year-end and quarterly audits by External Audit
- Driving process improvement initiatives for the team, such as analysis and identification of opportunities, implementation and monitoring post-implementation
- Financial reporting/month end duties alongside general duties
