Methods Analytics is currently recruiting for a Technical Bid Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.

Please note due to current COVID restrictions this role will be remote working until restrictions have been lifted.Methods AnalyticsMethods Analytics exists to improve society by helping people make better decisions with data. Methods Analytics works across Health and Care, Life Science, Defence, Government and other sectors including internationally; undertaking projects and delivering services along the spectrum from problem identification, through data management, data science & AI, visualisation and interpretation and delivery of actionable intelligence.

RequirementsThe Technical Bid Manager will
  • Managing the creation of and updates to relevant sales and bid collateral
  • Overseeing and maintaining the Methods Analytics bid/response repository
  • Scheduling and management of kick-off and outcome review meetings for bids and proposals, including resource identification
  • Acting as the fulcrum between commercial and subject/sector specialists to draw together bid content
  • Developing and writing proposals and tenders (e.g. for Public Sector frameworks)
  • Engaging with commercial, strategy and delivery functions to develop methodology and approach collateral for sectors and service areas
  • Working across public and private sector clients and frameworks to ensure compliance with timelines, pricing and particular terms
  • Building a positive relationship and collaborating with the wider Methods Group Bid function
  • To own Methods Analytics commercial frameworks
  • Leveraging subscriptions and online platforms to understand the procurement plans for existing and prospective customers; and to collate and share this information for the creation of account plans
  • Feeding into and overseeing the tracking and reporting on volume of EoIs, PQQs, tenders, frameworks and proposals responded to on a monthly basis

Ideal candidates will demonstrate
  • An excellent track record of successfully writing and managing bids through to award of contract
  • A thorough understanding of the full sales cycle and good working knowledge of procurement rules and legislation
  • Good understanding of commercial risk and contractual requirements within a bidding context
  • Engagement and relationship management with good team-working and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deliver to demanding deadlines
  • Flexible approach to work, with an ability to manage changing priorities and workload effectively
  • Team player, with a willingness to support and assist other colleagues from the across the company where required
  • Computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint. S


Desirable Skills
  • Experience in using SalesForce.com platform.
  • A knowledge of emerging technologies such as data, data science & AI, Machine Learning etc
  • Knowledge and experience of the GDS standards and frameworks
  • An understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Experience and knowledge of Public Sector (CCS etc) frameworks and the OJEU procurement process
  • Experience working in a technical environment, either on the supplier or client side
