We are looking for an ambitious Senior Systems Engineer who can help us transform Xe's money transfer systems.
At Xe, you will build and support functional systems that improve the lives of millions of customers. Your challenges include deployment of products, improving ways to monitor and identify production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. You will be providing experience, guidance and support to a dozen development teams across the globe, so if you have a solid background in building modern systems, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.

Responsibilities
- Engineering critical systems to be active/active for zero downtime
- Implement a new configuration management system within the first 6 months
- Deliver platform releases to production effectively
- Rapidly react to, and resolve system issues, to maximize availability and performance
- Plan and execute system and networking changes
- Reimagine our deployment systems
- Demonstrate and encourage a high performing 'DevOps' culture
Requirements
- Strong experience managing critical systems on VMware and in AWS
- Configuration management and IaC. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar
- Experience running websites and applications in production
- Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring systems
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, and container based systems
Desirable
- Running large scale web applications and APIs in production
- Experience in the finance industry
Tools and Technologies
- AWS, VMware, Firewalls/Routers, Load balancers
- GitLab, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, AWS ECS, Consul, OctopusDeploy, Powershell
