Finance Manager

Core areas of responsibility will be daily accounting, liaising with key stakeholders and preparing the month end management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Performing daily bookkeeping function

Preparing monthly payment run

Implement company's financial policies (purchase orders, staff expenses)

Reviewing payroll calculations

Making sure that all statutory returns are made on time and with the highest standards (VAT, FPS etc)

Prepare and review the monthly management accounts in accordance with UK GAAP including revenue, journals, accruals and prepayments.

Responding to frequent queries from senior management, controllers, non-finance employees and auditors

Prepare achievable forecasts in co-operation with business managers. Ensure all budgets/forecasts are complete on time and supported by explanation and commentary. Identify key risks to profitability and help reduce or eliminate them.

Provide ad hoc financial information and analyses as requested.

Key Skills

ACCA or CIMA qualified or final stages

Excellent excel knowledge - very familiar and comfortable with pivot tables and standard formulas such as VLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, IF, AND, OR statements etc

Knowledge of UK GAAP

Prior experience of preparing end to end management accounts and transaction processing.
