QUALITY ENGINEER / PPAP ENGINEER - AUTOMOTIVE:

Grafton Recruitment are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer of precision components supplying into the automotive industry.

As part of their long-term commitment to quality and continued growth, they are looking to recruit an additional Quality Engineer who will be focussed on PPAP's. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Fortune 200 company operating in over 50 countries globally.

THE ROLE:

As a Quality Engineer you will be required to:

• Key member of the quality team
• Work to IATF 16949 and customer specific standards
• Manage NPI process efficiently
• Carry out PPAP's and parts validation
• Check through documentation received and ensure they meet customer requirements
• Liaise with sister sites in relation to IMDS submissions
• Oversee internal processes after PPAP approval, including distribution of PSW, updating ERP system and create inspection sheet
• Work with the Quality Manager to develop Quality Plans
• Involved in Continuous Improvement activities

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Quality Engineer will have:

• Previous experience working on NPI Projects
• Well versed in APQP and PPAP
• Solid understanding of Control Plan, FMEA and all relevant PPAP documentation (required)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Excellent communicator across all levels
• Previous experience working to ISO/TS16949
• A dynamic personality with the attitude to always do better
• The ability to work autonomously
