The RoleValidation Services is Sedgwick's service focusing specifically on validation of buildings claims. When buildings are damaged it's not just the bricks and mortar that are affected - it's people. That`s why we need more people like you to make sure our clients can get back on their feet should the worst happen.

As Quality Control Manager, you`ll have responsibility of reviewing contractor variations on both domestic and commercial property repairs, from a quality and price perspective. If queries arise, you`ll have the technical knowledge and confidence to pro-actively challenge contractors on their recommendations.

The successful candidate will therefore have to build rapport with contractors to ensure that such discussions are meaningful and constructive.

Reporting to our Operations Manager, you`ll also have responsibility of auditing, coaching & mentoring our enthusiastic internal team & field-based colleagues whist expanding their technical knowledge contributing to their progression.

To achieve all of this, you`ll need to have robust technical knowledge of building construction, design and defects and at least 5 years property repair experience either through claims handling or a contractor role.

  • Strong I.T. skills, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
  • A pro-active approach to problem solving
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal
  • The ability to coach/mentor both one on one, and to a group
