Civil Engineering Estimator

Office based in the Surrey countryside, remote working

45,000 - 55,000 plus car allowance, 25 days holiday

This award winning and humble business wants to grow. As an Estimator, you are going to be crucial in helping them achieve this.

You can work from home. You can work from their rural, countryside location. You can do both. Bring your dog to the office if you want. And you can retire your suit... this isn't a corporate.

Your initial area of focus will be to support work wining activity, mainly across the South East. Working from first principles, you will be pricing civils projects in the £50k - £1.5m range working under the NEC Form of contract.

A few things that you are going to need... a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, good IT skills, an understanding of contract and ability to manage risk and opportunity.

This is not the type of role where you will be stuck in front of an excel spreadsheet all day. You will be involved in the whole pre-construction process, visiting proposed sites, managing client relationships, inputting into commercial reviews, and managing the tender lifecycle.

You will be working with a smallish, collaborative team of people that will share their niche knowledge and help you to further hone your skills in estimating and tender management.

I think this role would lend itself well to someone who has a few years of site-based experience and is looking to move into an office-based role, albeit still have opportunity to be out and about. Do not fret if you are an already established Estimator though; this role would still be suitable for you.
