The Environment & Sustainability team's mission and passion are to advance global sustainability. We believe that environmental health and safety around the world are a 21st-century safety challenge and through our work, we aim to bring positive change. We test & certify products to meet our health and sustainability standards. World's leading businesses come to us to support their transition to more circular approaches and carbon management. We develop software platforms that help our clients track and measure environmental, supply chain, health, and safety management and sustainability data.

As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for an Associate or Mid-level Software Developer with a focus on .Net technologies who will support the team develop and maintain a large-scale SaaS enterprise platform, on a diverse suite of products ranging from Sustainability and Supply Chain through to Compliance, Risk Management and Incidents.

What you'll learn & achieve:

•You will be expected to foster team culture and actively share knowledge, collaborate within your team and help to facilitate communication.

•All developers within the department are expected to design, develop and maintain high quality, production-ready code and constructively peer-review the code of other developers.

•You will be participating fully in all agile ceremonies and working with your team to define, refine and query requirements and propose approach.

•Your passion for quality will encourage you to engage with the QA team early in the development cycle and help them refine test scenarios. It will also encourage you to join and participate in knowledge sharing guilds and learn product areas relevant to your team. This dedication will help keep business on track with continuous integration and delivery and your team to achieve its goals.

•Actively pursue opportunities to improve your knowledge and make use of the help available. This includes refining your understanding of the Agile process and developing an understanding of quality and what it means in a development environment as well as improving your day-to-day software development skills.

What makes you a great fit:

•We are interested in enthusiastic problem solvers and are confident the right person will do well no matter what arena their previous development experience is in or their educational background, however, we do expect some development experience in any of the commercial, educational or personal realms.

•Also, your experience of common tools and technologies such as (but not limited to) Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core on Windows platforms, HTML 5, CSS 2.1+ and knowing at least one JavaScript Framework is a real plus. We use REACT/redux with Typescript and Node.js but experience in other JavaScript frameworks should make you able to pick up any new skills required quickly.

•Exposure to any database technology (Oracle, MongoDB etc) is advantageous

•Attention to detail and a focus on quality at every stage is paramount.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
