What you will do:
- Define and coordinate robust engineering processes
- Developing manufacturing processes to optimise output and efficiency
- Generate and implement engineering solutions to take products from development to full production
- Support key business projects
- Introduce creative quality improvements to achieve 'Right First Time' standards
- Investigate and evaluate test equipment improvements resulting in an increase in test equipment reliability or efficiency
- Resolve manufacturing problems in a timely manner
- Design and develop solutions to maximize production efficiency
- Review processes to seek opportunities to implement automation.
What you will need:
Currently enrolled within and working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering plus the following:
- Experience using SolidWorks CAD
- Geographically available to attend on site
- Confidence to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a multidisciplinary team
- Be fluent in oral and written English
- Efficiency - able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort
- Honesty/Integrity - does not cut corners ethically. Earns trust and maintains confidence. Speaks plainly and truthfully
- Follow through on commitments - lives up to verbal and written agreements, regardless of personal costs
- Attention to detail - does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project
