Systems Accountant - Luxury Brand

Ignata Finance are partnered with an international luxury brand to recruit a Systems Accountant to join the growing Business Systems team. This team is an integral part of delivering on the future growth strategy of this international brand and will provide crucial support to both finance and the broader business.

Although reporting into the Business Systems team, this is a specialist role which will sit within the Finance function, providing an interface with the Business Systems and Data Science teams. The initial aim of this role is to lead the optimisation of the existing finance systems and introduce the appropriate controls and processes to ensure compliance and statutory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take the lead on finance systems related projects, including delivering maximum value from the existing improvements roadmap

• Identify further areas to achieve better efficiency

• Design and implement system controls to provide quality assurance over financial data

• Implement, review and maintain financial data, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance to company standards

• Train and support finance team members in the use of systems and procedures

• Collaborate with department heads to understand their specific system and reporting requirements

• Participate in broader company-wide projects and identify any impact for the Finance function

• Support in testing of new functionality

• Support in reconciliations and orchestration of data between different systems

What we are looking for:

• Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA t

• Demonstrated skills in system implementation and change techniques to maximize value

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation skills

• Experience in the retail sector (ideally businesses with tangible stock)

• Strong knowledge of project management standards and practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Salary up to £80,000 + Flexable working (2/3 days per week in the office post-COVID)
