Front End UI Developer

ONYX InSight is a growing technology and engineering organisation in the renewable energy sector. Our advanced sensing, software and machine learning products are deployed on wind turbines around the world. Headquartered in the UK, we have offices in the US, Australia, India and Korea.

Due to exceptional growth plans for our Software team we are now on the lookout for a Frontend UI Developer. With a focus on Frontend skills, we are looking for an exceptional developer to champion ideas from the wider team and deliver the true potential of some exciting projects.

Key responsibilities

Foster strong working & collaborative relationships with the business & technology stakeholders across multiple locations

Understand the limitations of our tech stack and business model and provide technical advice wherever necessary.

Support the back-end development process as required.

Build reusable code & maintain libraries for future use

Work with technology stakeholders to devise solutions that will fulfill business requirements and meet organisational strategic goals

Maintain high quality and attention to detail whilst actively contributing to agile processes

Person Specification

1-2 years minimum commercial experience

Proven background in full stack development

Adaptable, accountable, solution orientated and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Good understanding of key design principles

Expert knowledge in the following: React, TypeScript, JavaScript frontend skills

Experience of working within an agile delivery environment and leading this through best-practice is a must.

Ideally a strong interest in UX

Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar

Familiarity of working automated CI/CD pipelines orchestrated using Jenkin would be an advantage for this role
