Salary: £25,000-£35,000 depending on experience

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Tenure: Permanent

Location: Predominantly office based (Chelmsford), with potential for some flexible home working

Overview

Vitalpulse are a Renal Information Systems provider, based near Chelmsford. We have been specialising in products for Renal Therapies for over 20 years, and have extensive, well-established working partnerships with NHS Trusts and Health Boards across the United Kingdom. We also work closely with national bodies such as the UK Renal Registry, UK Transplant, and The Scottish Renal Registry to ensure we're at the forefront of the field.

We are responsible for the design, development, deployment and management of our Healthcare informatics solution, Vitaldata and its supporting modules, along with support for the legacy Proton solution. We pride ourselves on our commitment to supporting customers throughout the end-to-end process; ensuring they achieve their operational and strategic goals.

Vitalpulse is now the leading supplier of Renal Information Systems in the UK and we wish to recruit an Application Support Analyst to join our team. This person will work alongside our frontline support team to our growing national customer base and give active support to our product developers on a growing variety of projects as your experience and knowledge grows.

You will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach and as such, you will have the opportunity within this role to propose creative solutions with our end users in mind. Combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills your role will contribute to ensuring that the solutions perform to the requirements of our customers.

As part of your role, you will be expected to:

  • Provide help and support to the Customer Support Team, giving phone and email based operational/technical support as required.
  • Monitor system health daily and resolve underlying issues.
  • Provide system information analysis, reporting and document creation.


The ideal candidate should have the right attitude and aptitude to take on this important role and be a quick learner, possessing some or all of the following skills would be a distinct advantage:

  • A solid understanding of using and supporting of SQL products, such as MS SQL Server, MySQL etc.
  • Demonstrable experience in Customer Support and support systems
  • Working knowledge of and supporting a Microsoft server and desktop environment
  • Effective written and verbal consultation and communication skills.
  • Experience of working with or an understanding of JavaScript or Crystal Reports, would be an advantage


The successful candidate will be self-motivated and confident, resilient when supporting demanding customers and will be pragmatic and flexible in their approach. He or she will be conscientious and will enjoy accountability and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
