Job Details

SoloLearn is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded Senior UI/UX designer to join our global product team and help shape the future of our learning experience. The perfect person is not afraid of ownership, and is determined to understand the users and help them reach their educational goals.

At SoloLearn, we deeply care about design and teaching. We balance our work between fixing what is broken, imagining what could be amazing, and digging in the most obscure ideas we can find on how people learn. We want to create fun experiences that focus on retention of users as much as retention of knowledge. To work with us means to:

  • Heavily contribute to redefining how people consume educational content on mobile, with in-depth research as well as high level visual implementations
  • Make mobile learning refreshingly simple, effective, and humane
  • Constantly improve current products and explore potential for innovation in new endeavors
  • Evangelize design thinking and prove value of design every day
  • Mentor and support team of designers with varying experience levels
  • Clearly justify, document, and communicate design decisions
  • Take research to another level by actively seeking opportunities to gain new insights on design as well as meaningful educational methods
  • Establish high standards of design deliverables

We want you to feel challenged, yet comfortable at SoloLearn :). To make sure we're a good match, you should have most of the following:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and shipping digital apps and websites
  • Experience working on live products that are used by diverse and demanding customer base
  • Established processes on how to understand problems and validate solutions
  • Thorough understanding of platform guidelines, common practices, and accessibility principles
  • Patience and experience in elevating passionate junior designers and spreading design culture to the whole company
  • Curiosity and ceaseless desire to find new information and solutions
  • Experience in working alone as well as part of the team
  • Confidence in own solutions
  • Understanding of business needs and ability to adhere to and preach general strategy while comfortably bringing up new ideas
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)

On top of that, we work in Figma, we are spread around the globe, we avoid boring people, and we love gaming. If you think we're a fit, hit us up at hr@sololearn.com.
