We're looking for an Engineer to join the Compute Infrastructure Engineering team to build new automation and tooling to support a rapidly growing server estate which is vital to the company's exciting future plans. The company has a strong "infrastructure as code" philosophy and will continue to introduce the next generations of applications and distributed platforms into the business to ensure we continue to be the best at what we do.
The Compute Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the engineering and operational support of G-Research's global HPE server estate. They look after office/data center and colocation sites and ensure optimal performance and stability of the company's compute infrastructure.
You will be vital in helping the team to continue providing a high level of service to the business. We are always working hard to improve and are looking for the best team members to learn from and to bring in new ideas.
The role is principally project-based and covers managing and upgrading the current infrastructure and associated tooling, as well as researching and implementing new technologies in line with key business objectives.Who are we looking for?
You will be be self-driven, hardworking and able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, along with the technical experience needed to build high-performance, resilient solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- Linux and/or Windows
- PowerShell and/or Python
- Automation tooling: exposure to one or more of the following tooling or the ability to quickly pick-up new tooling:
It would also be an advantage to have experience with operating hardware at scale (e.g. HPE Synergy/Apollo/ProLiant, OneView, NVIDIA GPUs, ESKM)Why should you apply?
